Arabian Point Eight Power (APEP) was established in 1999 as a joint venture between Point Eight Power, Inc. and Al-Rushaid Investment Company. The company completed the construction of its manufacturing facility in March 2000.

Since 2002, APEP has become a wholly owned Saudi company, as part of the Al-Rushaid Group. AEP has offices and manufacturing facilities in Dammam’s Second Industrial City, where it manufactures Electrical Distribution equipment. The purpose-built air-conditioned facility is equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, with an APEP manufacturing electrical distribution equipment conforming to ANSI and IEC standards and is certified to ISO 9001:2000. APEP has a large customer base comprising large companies and major engineering contractors operating worldwide, especially in the oil and petrochemical sectors.

APEP products include medium-voltage switchgear up to 38 kV, 40 KA, and 3,000 amps; medium-voltage motor control centres (MCCs) up to 13.8 kV; low-voltage switchgear up to 6,000 amps; low-voltage motor-control centres (MCCs); ring main units (RMUs); switch racks up to 1,200 amps; distribution and control panels; relay and protection panels; and annunciator panels.

Arabian Rockbits & Drilling Tools Manufacturing is a market leader in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, continually growing to meet the needs of Saudi Aramco and the water-well industry with its drilling and seismic contractors. Dating back to 1981, the company was created as a joint venture between Al-Rushaid Group and Security DBS, a division of Halliburton.

Arabian Rockbits & Drilling Tools Manufacturing was the first and is now the largest manufacturer of tooth, insert and fixed-cutter bits in the Middle East from its location in Dammam’s second industrial city. In 2004, it became the first company to introduce Polycrystalline Diamond Bit Repair in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Further diversification of its service lines includes repairing fixed-cutter products for all Security DBS service centers in the Middle East, Singapore and Australia.

Dresser Al-Rushaid Valve & Instrument Co. Ltd (DARVICO) is Saudi Arabia’s leading manufacturer of valves and process instruments. The company was incorporated in 1985 under a joint venture agreement between Al-Rushaid Investment Co. Ltd and Dresser Industries Inc. (USA). In October 2010, Dresser Inc. was acquired by General Electric and is managed under the GE Energy division.

DARVICO’s products are the benchmark in pressure and temperature measurement and include gauges, thermometers, switches, transducers, transmitters, data loggers, calibration equipment, instrument isolators and diaphragm seals, safety valves, safety relief valves, control valves & accessories.

Specified around the Middle East for the most demanding requirements, these products are widely recognized under the brand names Consolidated and Masoneilan.

DARVICO’s products are used in industries such as calibration and testing services, chemical manufacturing plants, electrical generating plants, fluid power and hydraulic applications, fertilizer plants, gas transmission and distribution, HVAC oil refineries and petrochemical plants, pipelines, power generation plants, pulp and paper mills, pumps and compressors, and wastewater treatment facilities.

In addition to manufacturing new products, DARVICO also undertakes shop repair and recalibration of Safety Valves and on-site testing with the latest Electronic Valve tester contracts for servicing control valves in their plant or on-site. On-site calibration of valve positioners and valve diagnostics are also carried out.

DARVICO also provides custom solutions for even the most challenging applications. Quality is a foremost priority, and the entire design, manufacturing, and testing process is regularly audited by independent accreditation bodies.

Dresser-Rand Arabia (DRA) is a Joint Venture between Al Rushaid Petroleum Investment Co. and Dresser Rand Inc.(USA). Its manufacturing facility is based in the 2nd Industrial City in Dammam-KSA (occupying a land area of 43,000 sqm) and produces gas compressors, gas, and steam turbines. The company also has a service centre that provides maintenance, spare parts, and technical assistance.

Dresser-Rand Arabia has established a training program that employs graduates of schools and Saudi universities and enrols them in on-the-job training in one of Dresser Rand Inc.’s manufacturing units in the USA or Europe. In addition, Dresser-Rand Arabia has established a Research and Development (R&D) centre in cooperation with King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.

Dresser-Rand Arabia is a major supplier of Saudi Aramco, SABIC petrochemical plants, and Saudi Electricity/SWCC power plants.
